01 / THE PROJECT

Research the market. Shape the offer.

MyMD’s brand and website grew out of a discovery project for med spa founders seeking medical oversight. The work examined where the market was expanding, how operators navigated competitor services, and what they needed to understand before booking. Those findings connected market research with a specialist-led offer, clearer pricing, and an intake journey organized around the clinic’s services, location and provider team.

The competitor review exposed friction between interest and a meaningful conversation. Quote routes could involve six or more than ten steps, with some services sending a scheduling link only after a form submission. The research also compared inconsistent pricing visibility and different service bundles. The product needed to make the specialist, the offer and the next action easier to understand.

  • Service and pricing benchmark
  • Brand positioning and voice direction
  • Startup and scaling-operator messaging
  • Intake, quote and booking journey specification
  • Trust architecture and lead nurture direction
  • Website and offer strategy

Map the operator opportunity

The discovery work mapped opportunity across 20+ states, considering physician oversight needs, ownership structures and med spa growth. Industry research examined operator ownership, medical director hiring, location patterns and market economics. This helped frame the offer around founders opening a practice and operators expanding across locations, with different questions at each stage.

Follow the competitor journeys

Three completed onboarding walkthroughs informed a comparison of four competitor services. The teardown tracked booking methods, steps to a quote, calendar integration, pricing information and value propositions. It identified delayed scheduling and limited price visibility as opportunities for MyMD. The design goal was a quote or conversation in fewer than five steps, supported by direct scheduling and clearer information earlier in the journey.

Define the specialist-led offer

The pricing benchmark compared onboarding fees and service tiers, from IV hydration to broader med spa and wellness programs. It also separated what each offer included: insurance, chart review, protocols, legal support and matching time. Brand positioning connected fast access with specialist credibility and clear guidance. Startup messaging focused on getting established, while scaling-operator messaging addressed multiple states and a continuing oversight relationship.

Translate the research into product logic

A six-stage journey mapped service selection, operating location, provider license, quote and match, booking, and agreement. The intake specification connected those inputs to pricing and oversight requirements. The booking blueprint brought calendar availability, clinic details and a specialist introduction into the same path. Copy, trust signals and follow-up messages supported the journey, giving the brand and website a concrete structure to build around.
