01 / THE PROJECT
Reaction data & Leaderboards.
I built a tool that turns group chat reactions into rankings, relationship maps and PDF reports. It connects each laugh with the message author and the person reacting, then compares the group across all-time and recent windows.
The analysis keeps different questions separate: who earns the most laughs, whose messages land consistently, and who finds whom funny. Dated Haha tapbacks and laugh-emoji reactions provide the inputs; self-reactions stay out of the rankings.
WHAT I WORKED ON
Laugh-reaction analysis
All-time and recent rankings
Hit rate and laughs per message
Pair preference and reciprocity
Reaction heatmaps
Superlatives
PDF report generation
/01
Separate volume from consistency
The rankings distinguish total laughs, laughs per message and hit rate—the share of messages earning at least one laugh. A score anchored to the group average balances different activity levels, while recent windows show how someone is doing against their own baseline.
/02
See who laughs at whom
Pair analysis maps reactions from the person giving them to the message author. Counts, reaction-giving rates and volume-adjusted pair lift reveal preferences, alongside reciprocal and one-way connections.
/03
Turn the analysis into a readable report
Rankings, bar charts, a directed reaction heatmap and playful superlatives make the patterns easy to explore. The PDF format brings the tables and visualizations together in a report the group can share.
